AI Governance & AWS – We’re live

RAIDS AI is live on the AWS marketplace (you can find us here). For our brand, our offering and our team this is a huge milestone, and the next significant step on our journey.

It comes at an important time because, when it comes to AI governance and safety, we’re at a decisive moment. Regulation is starting, slowly but surely, to make some gains on catching up with AI development. The EU AI Act, of course, is the most significant legislation here. Organizations are realising, not only that compliance is critical, but that safe deployment of AI is essential for the security of their business. And I don’t mean security simply in the sense of keeping data or IP secure. It’s much bigger than that. I mean in terms of keeping the business going; protecting their brand from reputational damage, remaining financially secure from huge losses and fines, knowing that they won’t be hit by a massive lawsuit, and being sure that, from an ethical and moral standpoint, they are deploying AI responsibly.

This realization is supported by continued reports of AI going rogue. The recent report of a Meta engineer that trusted the advice of an agent and exposed sensitive data, is a reminder that no business of any size is immune. Our research identified 233AI Incidents in 2024 (an increase of 56% on the previous year) and $67.4bn in hallucination losses in the same year.

Additionally, since AI is continually learning and evolving, compliance can no longer be a ‘tick in the box’ exercise, or something crossed off the to-do list. AI requires ongoing oversight to catch things like model drift, hallucinations, and data contamination that can cause it to go rogue without warning.

It is this challenge that defines the RAIDS AI mission. To provide the continuous monitoring layer which acts as the AI safety net, catching it when it inevitably acts in unintended ways before it has negative consequences.

Timing aside, our presence on AWS marketplace is significant because it gives us important credibility and validation.

As a business looking to support organizations in the continuous monitoring and safe deployment of AI, we know that trust in us is key. Customers need to believe in our product, and have confidence that we can monitor for, detect and respond to threats. In the world of compliance and security particularly, that trust is paramount. AWS presence gives us important validation that we’re a proven product that can achieve what we say we do.
